Feel Better Kit!!

It's Wednesday Friends so we're almost to the weekend, hee hee! This is an endless week it seems for me as the end of the month always is! Lots of deadlines, new releases & kids activities to get thru this week and then my mom & sister will be here on Saturday! Ack--too much to get done I tell ya & not enough hours in the day (and not enuff' light either, I miss the daylight, boo-hoo)! This is definitely not my favorite time of year--I like having the sun until 8 pm, feels like I have more hours in the day ya know which I definitely need!

Tonight is back to school night for my daughter (8th grade) so we get to go around & meet all her teachers & find out what's goin' on this year! Can you believe she had to pick her high school courses out already---gee whiz, it's just the beginning of the year! But she'll continue with AP/Honors courses, Spanish 3 and Women's Choir--sadly neither of my children love art the way I do (sigh)! She'll start high school next year with 2 language credits & Algebra I already done--seems they just push 'em thru to the next thing nowadays, but she does well so I don't worry too much! Thank goodness I'm done w/ school now, hee hee :o)

************************************

If you are a long time reader of my blog, you've probably seen me make these "Feel Better" Kits before. I love making them, they're fast & simple to put together for all those sickie-poo occasions (especially at this time of year)! This fabulous image is from Stampavie/Helz Cuppleditch and it's called "Ruffles Get Better Soon"--isn't that lil doggie the cutest? You can see the whole collection HERE at 7 Kids College Fund! The dp is Basic Grey's "Marrakech" paired w/ PTI's lemon tart cs and SU's groovy guava. The buttons and sentiments are from PTI as well (sentiments from Everyday Button Bits & Mega Mixed Messages)!

To make these kits you just need to cut a piece of cardstock 3.5x10" and then score at 4.5" & 5.5". You'll be able to fit a travel pack of Kleenex, a chapstick & a throat lozenger which is perfect for someone who's feeling under the weather! I attached all the goodies with Scor-Tape so it doesn't move around--super strong stuff! You can also make a closure for this pack using a strip of cardstock & a magnet (I use these BG magnets here--my fave), which I sometimes do!

Here's a close-up of this lil' cutie Ruffles the dog--I just love him! I colored the image w/ copics, added diamond glaze to his bandage & some stickles to the flowers on the couch! Too cute!

See ya back here tomorrow--it'll be a long post tomorrow since it's the 1st of the month! I've got projects for Copic Creations, Magnolia-licious October Sketch & Pink Cat Studio Digi!! So come back now ya hear, LOL!!

Fabulous Release Day!!

Happy, Happy Tuesday to you all! A cold front has blown thru here in Virginia and the weather is much cooler today :o( I have a feeling that winter is gonna be bad this year--ack! I do not like the cold, snow or ice or nasty wind--blech! Especially after Christmas is over with, it seems like winter just drags on and I'm ready for spring to come in January, LOL! But I'll just deal with it I guess--this weekend we're going to get mums and cornstalks for our front porch! I love decorating for fall and the week before Halloween our house turns into a haunted house with a fog machine, bwahahahahha! This is my daughter's last year of trick or treating (once high school starts that's it) so it will be semi-bittersweet! Her & her friends are going to be M&M's, lol--Riley of course wants to be a military guy again, no surprise there! Last year him and his best friend dressed up like 40's mobsters which was fun. Sometimes I'll dress up but usually I just say I'm Suzanne, the mom and papercrafter (maybe I'll stick some stamped images & paper scraps to my shirt, lol)! Anyone else dress up for Halloween?

Release Day for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design
New Elisabeth Bell AND Victoria Case Stamps for sale!!

So the day of the fabulous Double Release for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is finally here! You can buy BOTH the NEW Elisabeth Bell AND Victoria Case stamps HERE (sold as sets or singles and available at 9 am EST today)!

This first stamp I'm using is by Victoria Case for SCACD and this set of 4 stamps is called the "Everyday Gals" and she's named after me, hee hee "Suzanne"--cuz' Susana says I love to shop (which, yes I do especially over the internet)!! I dressed her...ahem, me in my favorite color red and the fun dp is by Shabby Green Door "Farmers Market" . I colored "me" with copics and added some stickles to her totebag & shopping bag; diamond glaze to her boots & purse! This is how I dress when I shop mostly, bootcut jeans w/ high heeled boots or skinny jeans with ballet flats :o) The fun little sentiment is by Hannah Stamps! There are 4 of these "Everyday Girls" and they are a lil' bit bigger than the Bella stamps so they're easy to color & paper piece--they fit lots of fun occasions! Isn't she fun--love her!!

My second card uses one of the fabulous new Christmas/Holiday stamps by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD and this one is called "Two Turtle Doves" from the Special Edition Ornament Collection--see them all HERE! Now this image comes with a beautiful heart ornament around it, but I'm showing you the image without that so you have two ways to use this beautiful stamp! I paired her up with some beautiful new papers from SEI "Christmas Mint"--I love the soft past holiday colors. I added some stardust stickles to her skirt and holly for sparkle and then cut the image out with my Nestablities Labels 3. The snowflake border was done w/ my Martha Stewart punch here and those scrolls are also a punch here. I added some Kaiser pearls and the sheer ribbon was tied with my Bow Easy & topped with some Prima Poinsettia flowers & holly! These images are all just gorgeous & so perfect for the upcoming holiday!

Now hop around to the rest of the DT's blog's to see their stunning creations today using these stamps!

Then we ordered in pizza (love that you can order online & track your pizza at Domino's Pizza, LOL), got our jammies on & watched the movie "17 Again" which was really cute--a good family movie! This fabulous ornament stamp called "Bulb w/ Santa" from I Brake For Stamps (if you want to order from this fabulous store, make sure to use the discount code "SAVE10SUZANNE" for 10% off your order)!! I love the vintage feel to this stamp--I stamped the stamp on cream cardstock & then added just a bit of color w/ Copics. The dp is Basic Grey's "Wassail" and I added some stardust Stickles to Santa's coat and used a gold Spica pen on the tree trimmings. The sentiment is from PTI's new "Stocking Prints" set and I embossed it in gold ink--I added some mini jingle bells to the ends, aren't they cute & they DO jingle :o)

Here's a close up to show you the shimmer that is on the ornament--I used gold Inspirations Paint on the edges for a nice shimmer! The bow was made with my Bow-Easy of course! Do ya love it like I do, hee hee?

Second card uses a new stamp from Lockhart Stamp Co. called "Cornucopia"--isn't it fab!! I colored the image with copics & then added some diamond glaze to some of the fruit, stickles to the leaves & I used my clear and red Spica pens to add some soft sparkle! The dp is by Melissa Frances and those are some fab Kaiser pearls along the bottom & at the top corners. The double bow was made with my fave Bow Easy--if you don't have one it is soooooo worth the $5 I tell ya!! This is an easy fall card to make & a wonderful way to say hello this fall season!!

Make sure & stop by here tomorrow to see all the fabulous new stamps that are being released by Susana's Custom Art & Card Design! It's a double release, so stamps from Elisabeth Bell & Victoria Case, wow!!

Peppermint Twist!

Happy Sunday friends! I was supposed to post this yesterday but my mom & sister came up to visit on Friday & then I was prepping for my Copics class, so I didn't get it done in time. I WAS looking forward to going to a Hot Air Balloon Rally & Craft Festival today, but it looks like a wash (sob)! It's been cold & rainy since yesterday & I wish I was somewhere warmer right now--I'm chilled to my bones. Had to get out my fuzzy zebra jammies for the occasion, hee hee! Hubby had to hold me down from lighting up the fireplace--I hate cold toes & bones! YUCKO--bring on the sunshine PLEASE!! So looks like I'll just spend the day working on projects for this week & doing some more reading & get a pot of stew going for the day! Hope you have a fabulous Sunday in store!

NewsBitz:

Just one quick project today for ya! This is the last of my Pink Cat Studio Digi projects I made for the grand opening of the store. I just adore this image called "IB Betty--Candy Cane Slide"--isn't she a cutie. I made her lil' bear friend a polar bear since she does live at the North Pole ya know!! The papers are from the new awesome Basic Grey "Eskimo Kisses" (even the name is cute, hee hee) paired w/ PTI cs (their aqua mist, berry sorbet, sweet blush & scarlet jewel cs goes perfectly with these papers)! She's colored w/ copics and the candy cane has diamond glaze on it so it's slide-able, LOL! A few stickles & a cute mini pom-pom on her hat & some PTI buttons finish it off. The sentiment is from the PTI "Holiday Treats" stamp set!

Hope you all have a fabulous day & I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Baby It's Cold Outside!!

Happy, Happy Friday everyone!! Yay, Yay my favorite day of the week, hee hee! And my hubby comes home tonight from a work trip--don't mind being alone but I'm just a weensy-bit of a scaredy cat at night by myself, LOL!! Plus I can't watch any of our tivoed shows when he's not here cuz' he doesn't want me to watch them w/o him!! I don't watch a ton of tv, I find that doing all my computer work in the evenings & reading I just don't get to watch most shows nowadays. But I do make time for my old standby's like HGTV, Bones, Grey's Anatomy & Chuck. (used to love CSI until Grissom left) But I started watching "Drop Dead Diva" & oh my goodness, I LOVE IT!! It's hilarious & even my hubby enjoys watching it with me--I like that there is no drama, stress or violence in it, just a good time! I just don't want to spend my evenings sitting on the edge of my chair, stressed out & then having a nightmare any more ya know--there's enough stress in the world already w/o me watching it on tv (this is why I stopped watching Lost, 24 & Heroes). I just don't enjoy them anymore and when I do have free time I want to laugh not cry, LOL!! And there seems to be such a lack of comedies on tv anymore--they're all action & drama, arghhhhh! I also Tivoed the new show "Modern Family" last nite which is supposed to be a hoot, but I haven't watched it yet so I'll let ya know :o) What's your favorite TV show on tv right now?

And if you want a good laugh, check out this YouTube video that I saw on CNN 2 nights ago! It's good clean fun & will make you chuckle out loud I promise!! Cracks me up! The link is HERE!

Change your Feedblitz delivery settings from "Nightly" to "Hourly." Here's how:
- go to http://www.feedblitz.com/ and log in
- click the "subscriptions" tab
- you'll see a drop-down box in the right corner. It says "Pick One of Your Subscriptions." Choose "ScrapBitz"
- In the main portion of the page, you'll have a list of options, such as "New," "Your Subscriptions," "Restore," etc. Choose "Scheduling."
- Where it says "How often do you want FeedBlitz to check for new articles?" I expect you'll see "Nightly (using the configured time zone)" If so, use the drop-down box to change to "Hourly."
- Be sure to click the "Update Schedule" button for your change to take effect.

Exciting News for Ya!!

I'm so excited to share some special news with you today!! Mo of Mo's Digital Pencil has put together a DT (or Dream Team as she calls us, hee hee) & she asked me to be on it!! Well, of course I had to say yes cuz' I soooo adore all her images--they really are a joy to color!

And as soon as I saw this image called "Kai in the snow" (you can make the baby a girl or boy) I had to have it. He reminds me so much of my son, who was such a lil' butterball when he was little--it just brought the sweetest memories back to me! I colored him with copics and then added the snow with my favorite Martha Stewart's "Snow Glitter" (love that stuff--I get mine at Michaels). The dp is by Paper Salon & the snowflakes are punches that I have and then I covered them w/ tacky glue & dipped them in the snow glitter & crystal glitter. That fun sentiment is from PTI's "Snowfall" set--perfect me thinks!

Here's a close-up of this lil' chubby cheeked cutie! I put some diamond glaze on his boots and that's white sparkly fluff (buy HERE) on the pom-poms & scarf fringe (so soft & fuzzy)! Love this lil' guy!

Second project is another one I did for the new Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp store! I bought a bunch of these long notepads from the $1 spot at Michaels awhile back & they have magnets on their back so you can put 'em on the fridge! I thought this To-Do List & matching card would be perfect for lil' teacher or hostess gifts for the holidays. I used "Penguin Candy Cane Swing" & isn't he a lil' cutie? To make the notepad topper I just basically made a scored wrap for the top by measuring it out & scoring & attaching it w/ scor-tape. Very quick & easy to make!

Here's a close-up of the image--I used diamond glaze on the candy canes & then put some liquid applique (heat set so it puffs up) on his lil' elf hat!! So cute! If you haven't delved into the digi stamps yet, you really should give it a try. Melissa has very simple & easy-to-follow directions on learning how to use Digi Images right HERE on how to get started!! You'll be addicted for sure!! LOL

I'll have a quick post up for you tomorrow & then I'll see you all back here on Monday!

Enjoy the Ride!!

Hello Stampin' Friends!! One more day until the weekend--yay--has your week seemed as long as mine, hee hee! Saturday I'm teaching a Copic class here at my home which is always fun for me cuz' I just love teaching everyone how to use their copics. I will have another class on October 11th & that will be my last class for this year due to the upcoming holidays--I will resume classes come Jan/Feb! I'll also be cleaning the upstairs/bedrooms carpets with my new $400 carpet cleaner (Royale) which I just love--isn't that exciting, lol! But I spend at least $800 a year using professional carpet cleaners so the fact that this machine does such a fabulous job & I can do it myself does excite me (oh the small joys, hee hee)! I already did our basement level & all the area rugs on the main floor which is totally hardwood except for rugs--love it! But that's it for my weekend plans! What is everyone else up to this fall weekend?

******************************

Oh boy, as soon as I saw these cute Magnolia stamps with their bikes I knew they had to be mine (there is an Edwin w/ bike as well) and you can find them HERE at Magnolia-licious! Isn't she just as cute as can be? The background stamp is from Whiff of Joy called "Fall Grass" & you can find it HERE. The layout is this week's SCS sketch #247 which is fabulous & so easy to use with your Magnolia stamps. The pretty paper is from Frances Meyer (that I've hoarded cuz' I lovee it) paired w/ SU ballet blue cs & PTI's lemon tart cs. Those side embellies are buttons that I put a yellow Kaiser pearls on top of--love to add stuff to my buttons to change them up, hee hee! The fun sentiment is from PTI's "Everyday Button Bits" set!

Isn't she just a cutie? She's colored w/ copics and then I cut her out & popped her up w/ dimensionals. I stamped the grassy hill & then made clouds w/ my cloud template (see video I made about this on sidebar if you're interested). I always like to make my clouds sparkle so I added some diamond stickles on top! And the bike & her sneakers got diamond glaze, stickles on the flowers & lace trim and some silver Spica pen on the bike's handlebars.

Here is a close-up to show the dimension. So I stamped the bike basket & bouquet twice and popped them up so there are 3 levels of dimension on this image. Love, love how this one turned out!!

Second project is another fun Halloween project I made using some more of those cute Pink Cat Studio Digi stamps that you can find HERE! This is "IB Betty-Ladybug Costume" & she's such a lil' cutie! I printed her out in 2 sizes (fun thing to do w/ digi stamps) & for those who are asking: I print them out right onto my Gina K Luxury cs in 120 lb weight (same that I stamp on) with my Epson R300 printer set to print on matte paper. I don't have to heat set it or wait--I start coloring right away w/ my copics & no smearing!

I added some stickles to her costume, some fun star buttons from my stash & that fun border was done w/ my Fiskars border diamond punch. The bag topper is simple to make & filled w/ yummy sour pumpkin gumdrops--YUMMO! These are so quick & easy to make up & so much fun to give!!

That's all for me today--I gotta get lotsa stuff done today as usual, hee hee! Have a great one!

80's Flashback!!

Happy Wednesday & Hump Day my friends--we are halfway thru the work week! I am typing up my blog for today while listening to Riley watch some dumb cartoon on tv. I swear, the cartoons they make nowadays do NOT resemble the cartoons I grew up with at all! And that's not a good thing, lol! They're just weird to me--lots of ninjas, aliens & oddly gifted kids that do weird things, hee hee. I miss the good cartoons that taught actual lessons like the Smurfs, The Flintstones, Fat Albert and The Jetsons (am I dating myself yet, hee hee). I loved Jem, Shirt-Tales, Richie Rich & The RoadRunner & Bugs Bunny ya know! They were cute, funny & always had a great friendly & non-scary theme--unlike some of today's cartoons (Phineas & Ferb, Avatar, Mighty Bee, Static Shock, etc) that are just strange & sometimes a lil' scary!! My two most favorite were ShirtTales and Monchichi's, hee hee (see YouTube links below)--I just loved them & watched every Saturday morning. Back then that's when ALL the popular cartoons came on, remember? We didn't have oodles of options when we were kids and Saturday mornings were my favorite time of the week! When we were at Disney World Epcot a couple of year's ago, in Japan they had a store & they had Monchichi stuffed animals! Well I had to get one just like the old one I used to have (which who knows where it may be)--my kids thought I was nuts, hee hee--but I have it on one of my shelves in my craftroom & it always gives me a smile. So there ya have it, an 80's Flashback for ya today--who knew you'd be getting this info today, LMBO!!

Tell me what was your favorite cartoon when you were young!!??

"The Monchichi's" clip:

Today, I've got 2 more fun projects using new Digi images from Pink Cat Studio--check out Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp store HERE!! I tell ya, I was so thrilled when Melissa asked me to make some samples for the store & I had more fun with these images! This card uses "IB Betty--Ladybug on Flower"-isn't she so cute & cheery! I colored her w/ copics and then added diamond glaze to the ladybug on the stem & the dots on her dress; of course lots of stickles on the flower's center, wings & her headband. The black/white polka dot paper is from PTI & then I created lots of flower accents with my nesties, flower Cuttlebug embossing folder & Primas. Just a fun & happy card!!

The second project I made is a fun holiday card and wine-bottle wrap. I saw similar bottle wraps in a local paper store and they were selling them for $6 a piece, wowza!! You know us papercrafters & our mantra--if we see it, we know we can somehow make it, LOL! Both of these projects use "Penguin Elf in Present"--the beauty of digi stamps is you can re-size them any size you'd like. In this case I printed the regular size for my card & then I re-sized it smaller & printed it for the small tag on top of the wine bottle! How fun is that!! You can also print a mirror image as well! Now, I'll always love my rubber stamps but digi stamps are fun to use as well!

Close up of the card--I used these holiday fab papers by SEI called "Christmas Mint", the papers are really pretty up close because they have glitter & foil accents on them. I used stardust stickles on the present & added a tiny pom-pom to his lil' elf hat!

Here's a picture of the back of the wine-bottle wrap! I just punched holes and added ribbon to tie it closed with, gives it a lil' something special and the recipient could take it off & re-use it as well! Perfect for all those upcoming holiday parties!!

That's it for me today, but I'll be back tomorrow with some more goodies for ya!!

Digi Day!

Hiya Friends!! Can you believe it's officially fall already? Wow--I feel like I never got to say goodbye to summer, it just flew by it seems. And the weather here in VA got cool & fall-like REALLY fast--hope that doesn't mean winter will be horrible, I HATE the cold. Still holding onto my dream of moving to South Carolina one day (sighhhhh)! But I do like having my windows open everyday & filling the house w/ fresh air (most of my neighbors still have their AC's on--crazy huh?)! Thinking about the upcoming holidays already makes me feel rushed, lol--never enough time to get it all done ya know! I was in JoAnn's the other day & they already have a small section filled w/ Valentine's Day stuff--ummm....let me get thru Xmas first, LOL! Crazy how retail works---I think it's just a massive scheme to make us all crazy mad with stress me thinks, hee hee! Anywho, let's get on with the projects for today cuz' I've got 2 to share w/ ya & lots of info so make sure & make it all the way down to the bottom!

***********************************
NEW Pink Cat Studio Digi Store

So now PCS will have two stores, one for rubber stamps and one for digital stamps. You can check out the new store HERE!

I'll be sharing a project using these fabulous new digi stamps everyday this week for ya so make sure & stop by everyday, 'kay!! But today I wanted to share this fabulously fun "Itty Betty-Yummy Frogs" card I made! Isn't she a cutie with her lil' witches brew & froggies trying to get away, hee hee! My papers are from some of last year's stash (i'll check later today for ya who they're by). I added some diamond glaze to the frog's eyes & cauldron and stickles on the fire, steam & brew! I punched some stars out & ran them thru my Cuttlebug so they have a bumpy, bubbly texture and then I added fun glitterdots to the centers! The sentiment is from PTI's "Halloween Tags" set and the cobwebs were done w/ my Martha Stewart punch!

Now make sure & hop over to the Pink Cat Studio Digi Store HERE & the Store Blog HERE to see all the fabulous new digi stamps & projects done w/ them--they're boo-tiful!! Lot's of fab Halloween, Christmas & Everyday digi stamps for ya to delight in!!

Try It Out Tuesday #37

And since today is Tuesday that means it's another "Try It Out Tuesday" for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store! I challenged the DT this week to use Flower Soft on their cards/projects which is always fun! I used one of the fabulous Christmas Tree stamps by Lockhart Stamp Co. "Snow Tree w/ Birds", colored it with Copics & then added Polar White Flower Soft to it for a pretty, wintery snow feel!

The papers are new from Basic Grey's "Eskimo Kisses" and I LOVE them--they pair up fab with PTI's cs as well (aqua mist, sweet blush, new leaf)! The layout is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #105 which was so fun to do! The sentiment is from PTI as well & then I used Kaiser pearls (in rose) and Bella Baubles (oyster) to line the bottom & corners! The double bow was done w/ my Bow Easy--gosh how I love that thing!

Here's a close-up of the image---Polar White Flower Soft on the tree and around the oval nestability frame! The berries are made w/ red Liquid Pearls and silver Stickles on the star! The Polar White FS is a little bit different in texture than the regular flower soft, a lil' thicker & more shimmery--so very pretty IRL!

Now make sure and stop by the store blog "Follow Your Heart" to see the rest of the DT's fab projects today!

Shake Your Bacon!!

Hello friends & Happy Monday to you all! Hope ya had a fabulous weekend! Ours was fine--not super exciting but not boring, hee hee! We spent Saturday having a "Dean Family Jammie" day & I read basically most of the day! Finished my Dan Brown book (quite a page turner but not as good as Demon's & Angels in my opinion but good anyhow), started a new book by Kate Morton and read a stack of magazines. I also made 2 batches of soups to freeze in my new Pressure Cooker which I can't believe I never had before---love it (thanks hubby)! Sunday, hubby took the kids to the Frederick, MD fair for the day while I caught up on mounds of projects for some new releases coming up (shhh...lots of stuff comin' here to ScrapBitz, hee hee)! And today, blissfully nothing going on either 'cept a quick trip to the grocery store and post office! Oh yeah & some projects to finish & work on of course!

NewsBitz:

-Pink Cat Studio has somethin' up their sleeves & it's coming tomorrow!! Make sure & stop by my blog tomorrow cuz' I have a small hand in it, hee hee!!

-Susana's Custom Art & Card Design has a DOUBLE RELEASE coming to you next week on September 29th!! Two Artists, Two Sets of Stamps--Elisabeth Bell & Victoria Case images coming your way & you won't wanna miss it! Stay tuned for peeks & blog candy!!

************************************

I have so many projects to share with you this week, but I thought I'd start the week off with something outrageously fun for ya & put a smile on your face!! If you're a regular reader of mine you know how much I ADORE the "Humorous Senior" stamps from I Brake For Stamps (see previous project HERE)--they just crack me up totally! Della released some new ones last week & this gal on her lil' moped "Moped Millie" just caught my eye right away--her zebra pants, drooping cleavage & dog howling makes me giggle every time. (remember to use the Coupon Code "Save10Suzanne" to get 10% off your order if you decide you need some stamps, hee hee)

I colored her with Copics to match the fun Basic Grey "Lime Rickey" paper--wild & crazy just like this gal!! I added some fun buttons & dotted bows to decorate the card and that fun sentiment is from Hanna's Stamps & you can find it HERE!

Close-up of "Moped Mille"--I used diamond glaze on her seat, tires & helmet. I used a silver Spica pen on parts of the moped & stickles on her shirt & headlight! Isn't she fun? It's just gotta give ya a giggle today!!

Hope you have a fabulous Monday & I'll see ya back here tomorrow!

Indian Summer!!

Yay & Happy TGIFriday stampin' friends!! It's the weekend--wahoo & I have absolutely no plans other than to finish my Dan Brown book (compelling & hard to put down) & catch up on projects! Hubby is taking the kids to the Frederick, MD fair tomorrow but I'm not going---I'm so "faired" out, we've gone to at least 2 fairs every year since the kids were born & I'm just not in the mood this year plus I need to catch up on projects & Etsy orders. On the 27th we're going to a Hot Air Balloon Rally near Warrenton, VA & I'm looking forward to that--that will be my fair experience this year, hee hee! I'm hoping the weather this weekend is MUCH better than it has been the past couple of days--dreary & rainy, YUCK!

Seems like I'm not the only one getting less than 5 hours of sleep a night, LOL! I got one comment from "Angelwood" saying she wants to poke her peacefully sleeping hubby & that cracked me up cuz' that's how I feel. I asked him the other night how he can just lay down, clear his mind & fall asleep in 1 minute flat! It disgusts me I tell ya', LMBO--I will purposefully poke him or ask him questions just to keep him awake sometimes (yes I'm a meanie sometimes, hee hee)--I don't know how men do it. I have NEVER laid down & been able to clear my head that fast--it normally takes me an hour to fall asleep cuz' my mind is racin' I tell ya, and sometimes that's when I have my best ideas :o) Oh well, maybe one day sleep will come easier--we'll see!

Today I have a fun fall card that gives me warm & fuzzy fall feeling's, hee hee! I LOVE the colors & patterns in the new Basic Grey "Indian Summer" papers--such pretty combo's & perfect for fall! The fabulous image is by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD "Rian" available HERE & she's colored with Copics to match the dp! I adorned the card with Prima Hydrangeas (in Sweet Pea & Woodlands), Prima Velvet Leaves, ribbon & Bella Baubles (in Lemonade & Merlot).

Up close & personal with "Rian"--I added some stickles to the flowers/hearts on her clothes & flowers on the ground. I used the NEW "Inspiration Paints" (fabulously fun to use) in Copper on the ground, Sage on the leaves & Light Purple on the background surrounding her! They leave a great shimmer & are nice & easy to blend (I use my Fantastix's or my fingers)! Hope you love her as much as I do!!?

Have a fabulous weekend & I'll see ya back here on Monday!

Two Scoops Please!!

Happy September 17th my friends!! I want to run a poll and ask everyone "how much sleep to do you usually get a night" and "at what age do you start sleeping again?", LOL! I swear I could go on vacation and sleep for the ENTIRE week & not feel guilty about it either! No LIE! I'm such a poor sleeper anyhow (chronic insomniac) and then having a child with asthma/breathing issues does not help. I sleep with one ear to the door most nights making sure he's sleeping, hearing every cough & wheeze--I feel like I have an infant again (oh lordy no, two kids is enuff for me, hee hee)! I average 4-5 hours a night if I'm lucky & it's just not enuff' anymore--my ole' body is feeling it for sure and I'm not able to get as much done which is a BIG PROBLEM! My engine needs some gas I tell ya, lol! And I've started my new Dan Brown book which kept me up beyond a reasonable bedtime as well :o) Who can resist the draw of a fabulous book--not me!! Anywho, here's to wishing me and you a good nite's sleep tonight!

Today I have a fabulously fun project to share with you that I just ADORE (YILM)! I love the colors, layout & image, so fun! This is a new stamp sold by CC Designs in a set or singly called "Kiki LaRue's" that you can buy HERE and I think they are just too cute! (Christine keeps making them cuter & cuter I tell ya)! The card layout is from yesterday's SCS sketch #246 and the papers are by Memory Box's Sugar Collection(I don't think it's available for sale anymore, bummer). I love the patterns & colors in these papers! The cute ice-cream is bubbles--aren't they fab? I picked a few up at Michaels or AC Moore awhile back knowing that a stamp would come along that would be perfect to use with them! I made a band around the middle w/ paper and then added some fun May Arts ribbon (double sided) and a fun tag made w/ my nesties! This would be such a great gift for a young girl's birthday or party favors!!

The SCS layout is so fun & perfect for so many cards--I will be using it again for sure! I added some diamond stickles to her headband, cherry & bowtie; diamond glaze to her shoes, eyes & chocolate ice cream scoop. The ribbon is from PTI and the bow was made w/ my fabulous Bow Easy--flowers are small Primas with Bella Bauble centers! The heart charm is from my stash but find similar ones right HERE. If you love this it's for sale on my Etsy shop which is sadly mostly empty so I gotta get around to fillin' it back up, hee hee! (I have the supplies to make one more, so if you REALLY want one & it's already sold, just email me--1st come)

Simple Pleasures!!

Hello friends & Happy Half-Way thru the week, hee hee! Oh my, am I tired and wishin' it was Friday already. Riley had his dr's appt yesterday & we had to be outta the house by 6:15 am for the long drive in rush-hour traffic. At least we got some semi-diagnosis & a treatment plan for him, so we're crossing our fingers that this works. I dropped him off at school at 11 am and when he got home at 3:30 he had a blazing fever of 102 degrees---oh my! So he is officially sick w/ something, probably the flu virus that I had last week--hope hubby & daughter don't get it too! Just a busy, restless few days & I'm trying to play catch up! And wow & thanks to all you lovely ladies who literally wiped my Etsy store clean, LOL--I think I have like 3 things left in there so I gotta get busy filling it back up, hee hee! So lots of work to get done, and I have my new Dan Brown book sitting on my nightstand just beggin' me to read it, but I have to get my stuff done first so I can read it w/o any guilt (so no tellin' me anything about it if you're reading it, 'kay)! And a disclaimer for you today--this is a totally enabling post full of goodies, hee hee!

This lil' cutie is "Jam Tilda" and she's available at Magnolia-licious as part of the NEW "Yummy for Your Tummy" Collection HERE! There are soooo many cute images in this collection that it's hard to pick just one I tell ya! This yummy dp is from Cosmo Cricket's new Mini Decks "Earth Love" (they're smaller 6x6 pads which are fab)--love the fall like muted colors in this dp that I've paired up with PTI cs! The sentiment is from Verve Stamps & I used my Nestabilities Circles & Mega-Curved Rectangles--love me my nesties! I cuttlebug embossed the background and the flowers are from my friend Nikki's shop HERE (she has a brilliant selection of flowers & charms & quick shipping too)!

Here's a close-up of this lil' cutie--I used R02,R01,R00,R000 & YR23,YR21,YR20 on her dress & socks and of course some diamond stickles on her hairbands & ruffles! A girl's gotta have some glittah'!!

I'll see you lovely ladies back here tomorrow!

Fairies, Candies, Oh My!

Hiya & Happy Tuesday to ya all! Well we're slowly into the week from heck for me, LOL! Just lots goin' on & lots to get done as usual. Today I have to get my son to his pulmonologist appointment (fight traffic in rush hour, and race back to try & get him back to school before noon) and then drive Alexa to gymnastics and somewhere in between find time to complete projects & make dinner, hee hee! And I'm still stunned & depressed over the death of Patrick Swayze--I knew he was sick, but it always comes as a bad shock ya know?! I have always adored "Dirty Dancing", "Ghost" & "The Outsiders" that he was in and have watched them more times than I can admit to ya, hee hee! And I always admired the drama free & loyal romance he had with his wife for so many years--gotta love that! Anywhoo, movin' on..........

Copic Creations Challenge!!

Today is the 15th of the month so that means it's Copic Creations Challenge time!! This time we were challenged to use BOTH Copics & Prisma Pencils together on these beautiful fairy images from Stamps Happen! Stamps Happen is our sponsor for this challenge & they graciously donated a fairy stamp to each of the DT to use today along w/ a fabulous prize you can see at the Copic Creations Challenge Blog HERE.

The fairy I used is called "Chicory Fairy" and you can see/buy their stamps HERE! This was very fun to color but oh so detailed to do. And I hadn't used my Prismas in over a year, but it was fun to pull them out again. The sentiment is from a Verve Stamps set I have and the ribbon is Offray!
I used my Prisma's on the sky background (lt.cerulan blue, true blue, parma violet), leaves (dark green) and flowers/dress (pink) along with my copics. To do this you color with your copics first and then add your Prisma coloring/shading & then blend w/ your gamsol (odorless mineral spirites). The gamsol DOES NOT hurt your copic coloring in any way--very cool technique. Then I added diamond stickles to her wings and gold Smooch to the inside stems of the flowers. I think she's just beautiful IMO, hee hee--I really love her!

Now make sure and stop by the Copic Creations Challenge Blog to see the rest of the DT's fabulous creations & find out how you can enter the challenge as well!

Try It Out Tuesday for SCACD!

And since today is Tuesday that means it's also "Try It Out Tuesday" Challenge for Susana's Custom Art & Card Design store. This week I challenged the DT with a fun project from the Scor-Pal site called a "Triangular Card" and you can find the instructions right HERE. This is a pretty small card (4x4) so they're quick & easy to make & so much fun to give.

For my card today I used one of the fabulous NEW Lockhart Stamp Co. images called "Candy Wreath"--you can see/buy all the new Lockharts right HERE. I colored mine with copics and then added diamond glaze to the candies & diamond stickles to the wrappers for lots of sparkle! I cut it out w/ my circle nestabilities so it would look like a fun wreath on the front of my card along w/ a fab bow!

This is what the card looks like when it's opened! I created my front image on a belly-band so you can just slip it off easily but you can also create this card with different closures to your liking! A Holly-Jolly Christmas card for ya today!

Now make sure and stop by the "Follow Your Heart" blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with for ya today!

That's all for me today--see ya back here tomorrow!

Suzanne
